Eff Chris Broussard and his light skinned fake El DeBarge southern accents retarded face self!

This dude wrote the most Anti-New York article I have ever read. Title: Lebron doesn’t need you New York

    http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/nba/columns/story?columnist=broussard_chris&id=5185810

Some out of New York people fail to bow down to our superiority. I am not saying New York is perfect, BUT WE ARE BETTER THAN CLEVELAND! That is all we have to be.. Better than Cleveland!

    Show some respect

damn I can’t leave this topic alone.
How can people not understand that we are literally better than you based off of basic numbers!

Just accept it! We are New York! What happens here, matters more! Its a fact! There is a reason why terrorist don’t try to bomb Cleveland.. its b/c no one gives an Eff and they would be doing us a favor. Dumb mid westerns.

We are the Basketball Mecca of the world!
And the cultural mecca of the world!
And damn it… we have been through alot and deserve to have the best player in the world.

This is our time… can’t you be happy for us!

I’m sorry CHeeKZ, but that articlce is dead on. See, you’re from NY so you’re biased. But the only reason for Lebron to go to NY is if the Knicks pay him a ridiculous amount of money or if he plans to become a rapper/fashion icon for Rocawear. Other than that, he is already a big deal. Hell, he is King James, and he did that in Cleveland.

I gotta chime in. It’s the only thing i’m thinking about this morning.

Kobe was the #1 selling jersey in the league this year. Not Lebron. You know why? Cleveland isn’t big enough.

sure, in this digital age lebron can get money anywhere blah blah blah.

Lebron stated he wants to be the 1st billionaire athlete. Proximity to money is the best and easiest and fastest way to get it (taken from steve stoute). What’s more money than NYC?

Plus, The Knicks have the salary cap space (potential) to sign another max free agent which includes Wade (tho I doubt he’d come with Bron) or Chris Bosh (more likely). Lebron has NEVER played with that caliber of player, and them with our underrated young core can do some damage. And he has the opportunity to help mold the team to his liking.. Cablevision (who owns the knicks) could give him his own TV show or his own CHANNEL if he wants… so much opportunity.

It’s gonna be a tough decision for him though.. I’m not gonna write off any of the other teams with legitimate chances to sign him, i’m just gonna hope he chooses NY.

Last night was a good night in NYC. Boston.. you did your job. Slim, Seattle can come back to NY you’re no longer needed there.

    N.I.A.naturally Reply:

I actually understand everything you’re saying. I guess my main issue is can he win a ring in NY, and will the Knicks do the right thing by him, and make sure they sign great supporting cast. You make it sound nice, but will it really happen. You say he says he wants to become a billion dollar athlete, my guess is that he wants the Championship just a little more. Not much, but just a little. Like a billion dollars is a half a second behind championship. lol. NY can get him the money for sure, but can they help him get the ring. I’m not so sure about that. Though, I guess they have as good a chance as Cleveland….

It’s going to be a tough decision for him.

    Reply

    Guns & Butter Reply:

    It is a tough decision.

I think NY can get a ring with Lebron. Suppose we get Lebron and Bosh (my brother says LEBROSH), We also have Eddy Curry’s $10million contract that we could either trade now for complimenting pieces, at the trade deadline for a player on a bad team with a long contract (ie: Monta Ellis, not that i REALLY want him or anything) or just let it fall off our salary cap space and sign another premier free agent next year (ie: chris paul, carmelo anthony). Numbers-wise, we have the opportunity to really create this unbelieveable dynasty. Cleaveland can’t do that. Their best chance to win was this year and they end up getting embarrased by the Celtics.

sidenote. Cablevision no longer owns MSG/Knicks/Rangers. James Dolan is still the majority owner of MSG but they seperated from Cablevision b/c they are now their own publicly traded company (MORE MONEY FOR LEBRON). Sucks for the people who work at MSG, b/c they use to get free cablevision with HBO!

o my sweet little southern belle. How I would like to hit you from behind and make you say my city’s name.

I am not saying Lebron needs New York. What I am saying it New York is better for Lebron that Clev. Its like Shaq and Orlando back in ’95. Sure he could have stayed, he was already the best young center in the league. Reebox contract. Started in a movie (maybe even two by that point).

But he left.. b/c being a Big Fish in a small point with little resources doesn’t help men with great aspirations.
New York can offer Lebron Wall St, Madison Ave, Fashion Week, The U.N., other Superstars, celebrites, He can cross promote with Jeter and Eli … Clev can offer the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Drew Carey. You can’t compare it.

Everyone wants to talk about how MJ, Larry, and Magic did it with one team. You gotta stick with one team. Well MJ played for two teams. Wilt played for 3. Shaq played for 5 probably 6. Oscar played for 2. Malone played for 2. You get my point.

    Guns & Butter Reply:

lol.. i’m mad cheekz cited The U.N. as something NY offers Lebron.

I won’t even address that first little paragraph of your comment. smh… ;-)

I didn’t say he should stay in Cleveland. I defintely think it’s time for him to leave. Really, the team he chooses is going to be based on his priorities. You are right, he can all that and more in NY. But I’m talking about basketball. I’m not from NY, and I’ve never followed the Knicks. Do the Knicks have a system in place for Lebron, supporitng staff and coaching? #noshots I really don’t know. G&B says they have salary cap space for another great, so that will definitely help. But Shaq had a fantastic supporitng cast and a winning coach behind him. It was almost the perfect setup before Kobe became a little bitch. I would love to see Lebron go somewhere like that, wherever that may be. Is that place the NY Knicks? Yo no se…

    Guns & Butter Reply:

Well for a coach we have Mike D’Antoni. He’s debated as whether he’s a good coach or not.. but he coached PHX when they were winning all those games with their high powered offense (Nash, Amare, Marion, etc). Even with these past 2 losing seasons he coached the knicks he’s STILL 50 or so games above .500 on his career. Plus he coached Team USA and all those guys like lebron, bosh and wade loved playing for him.

Chicago might seem more set up to win RIGHT NOW, but it’s New York’s potential which is absurd. Truthfully, it’s whatever. If Lebron wants to be apart of the revitalizing of Knicks basketball he can. If not, he’s not the end all be all to NY’s return to the top. Might take us an extra year but we all know Melo’s definitely interested in playing in NY soo.. Lebron should be singing to his kids right now…

noshots at you NIA, but its the truth.

A lot of you other cities hate us because we disregard most cities because of what we have here. Like GnB sd, have you ever seen a major movie based in Cleveland? Bomb threats? NY is the ONLY city who couldve recovered from 9-11 so quicky as we did. We are resilient and arguably the capital of the world! To resurrect NY sportsvand win a title here would be legendary, ask Mark Messier!!

If Lebron doesnt sign, we still have the caproom to get CP3 and Melo in 2011 and if you think they’re married to their current squads, you’re mistaken!

Im happy that excitement is back in NYC! If any star wonders how it is to be successful in NYC, ask Derek Jeter. Shyt, ask T-Mac in his FIRST game when he got a heros welcome!

When I had an ipod it would stop working for NO reason. I could only get a refurbished one back (for free) and it kept happening. I had 6 ipods in the span of a year and a half. 6. not 2 or 3. But 6. So I said no thanks the next time around and I’ve been happy ever since.

Once I’m done with that, I’m gonna go ‘head and watch Sons of Anarchy Season 1 and finish up The Shield. (i’m on season 6). I need to get up on Sons of Anarchy, also. I hear that Breaking Bad is pretty damn good as well, so you may want to add that to your lineup. I’m also hoping to get around to Treme sooner rather than later.

    CHeeKZ Reply:

I swear by SAMCRO. Season 2 of Sons was the truth! Plus with only 12 episodes per season it really flies by.

I want to watch Mad Men. I heard that is really good. But for the most part I am only picking up on new shows when people put me on. Spead more time working instead of trying to find replacement shows for all the good crack that is getting teh axe.

The Shield ending is beyond epic..that show really knew how to take it to different heights with tension and plots.

    SaneN85 Reply:

I know it’s supposed to be all artistic and whatnot, but Mad Men truly just bored me to tears until the 3rd season finale. It’s just a bunch of well-off white folk whining about the problems they make for themselves and circumstances that they refuse to change. They only had one plot that was actually interesting. However, everybody else seems to love it, so don’t let my opinion sway you.

    Nick_L_Odeon Reply:

i TOTALLY didn’t see how they could ride out that story line.. it was a good enough concept.. BUT it’s like that season of Heroes.. where they write themselves into a corner and don’t know how to get themselves out… OR when they start lettin all their secrets out the bag in the 2nd episode.. then got nothing but mulch for the rest of the season…
