Three Ways Superlatives
It’s that time of the year guys! That’s right, the Three Ways to Take It Anniversary is coming faster than a virgin’s orgasm. With the first year wrapping up, we felt it was only right to stage a throwback and do what was done every year back in high school – superlatives. After all, there were a lot of stand out folks that hit up our site from August 8th, 2008 to present day and we, being the benevolent do-gooders of the blog world, thought they should be recognized. Don’t get us wrong. Everyone makes the site was it is today, but these folks have been rollin’ with us forever and definitely deserve their due. With that said, here we go and no offense.
The Pure Comedy Award- This is given to the person that has continuously caused death by laughter on a regular basis with their comments. This is also probably the most obvious award of the day. Unanimous winner:
RightCoastLexSteele
The Perfect Attendance Award- This goes to the person that’s here everyday (or pretty damn close to it) without fail with at least one substantial comment that furthers the discussion for the day:
Nicki Sunshine
The Intellectually Moist Award- This goes to the person that goes no balls deep with their comments on the regular and consistently gets it real wet…in an intellectual sort of way. This one goes to:
Joey
The Harriet Tubman Award- This award goes to the person(s), that despite The Man’s attempts to hold them down in the fields during the workday, always finds an Underground Railroad to the blog. We have 2 recipients this year:
Peyso & Cheekie
The Raw Award- This one, synonymously known as the Reckless Award, goes to the commenter that just says whatever the f*ck they want whenever the f*ck they want wherever the f*ck they want without any regard. They type their comment and hit send immediately because they just don’t give a sh*t:

The New Kids on the Block Award- This one goes to the folks that have been ridin’ with us as new members of the active commenting community. We could call this the Welcome Award, but that would be lame. The winners:
Still Water & Smiley Face
The International Contributor Award- This goes to the person who has been rockin’ with us from a different country for pretty much the existence of our site. For the purpose of this award, Canada counts. Therefore, it goes to:

The Tardiness Award- This award goes to the person that always comments on a post 2-7 days late like the discussion topic is still hot. They don’t care if people respond. They just come through and show their support and share their thoughts…on CP time. This one goes to the one, the only, the tardy:

No it wouldn’t, it was said right the way I said it.
Since it becomes hazy to trace Guyanese/Trini roots, people look at the their complexion/features and consider them Indian.
Since it’s hazy to trace Black roots (ignorant) people just consider them to be from Jamaica (or surrounding islands such as St. Croix.)
Jamaican roots are traced back to Africa & Europe, that would make them just as much Black as it would white.
Therefore, Guyanese and Trini people are just as much Black as they are Indian, so it inaccurate to label them with one line of ancestry.

It was a fluke for me, really. When The Man was blocking me, I’d just comment in the morning or after work. I’d try relentlessly everyday to get in here, but it kept failing. Then out of nowhere, I had clicked a link through Facebook (because I’m a masochist…I KNEW it wasn’t gonna work) and I up and saw the glorious red and black header.
