Who Are We?

The best team since the Thundercats, Voltron and the Power Rangers…

Three Ways to Take It is an award-winning lifestyle blog that covers everything from celebrity tomfoolery, politics, and music to relationships, sex, and everyday life occurrences—all told from the perspective of three talented African American writers. Our purpose is to not only post content that will make you laugh or reflect on your own life but to also keep you intellectually stimulated. Each of the writers here has his/her own distinct style that caters to the different demographics of our readership. With that said, let us each take a moment to introduce ourselves:

Seattle Washington

Yep, that’s my name.

I’m a writer by trade that now has the grand opportunity to write for free. But this is hardly community service. You see, I can’t write everything that crosses my mind for my day time gig. The American media would be much more obscene than it already is. So like my peoples Tiff and Slim, I’m here to get a lot of stuff off my chest, mind and any other body part that seems fitting. All from the perspective of the guy who’s been told he “speaks so well” one too many times.

So kick back, relax and enjoy the words of yet another sarcastic Black guy. Hopefully, they’ll make you laugh, weep and be utterly offended. You can thank me later.

Miss Jenkins

I am a woman who loves writing. I’m not an expert on any one topic, but I am quite fond of encouraging self reflection through my own reflections. I tell stories about my thoughts, my relationships, and my life at 20 something.  I ask questions that others may not and raise issues that you probably think about, but don’t really talk about. I offer one woman’s perspective on just about everything; if I haven’t talked about it yet, drop me a line, and I’ll work it into an entry.  Hopefully, I will make you think, laugh, reflect, say “pause”, or learn something about someone or something.  If nothing else, my posts, and this good blog will give you something to read whilst you “work” for the man, ride the train, or creep to the computer at night between dreams. Do enjoy. And tell a friend.

Slim Jackson

I’m a writer that enjoys blogging and I’m the administrator of this here website. It’s an outlet for all the frustrations and encounters that I have on a daily basis as a 20 something black male. I don’t specialize in any particular niche. My content ranges from the always popular subjects like sex and relationships to less discussed issues like family structure, introspection, and self-improvement. I also produce content for the award-winning Single Black Male and theFreshXpress.com websites. I don’t write just to get a lot comments on posts. I write for the mind. Sometimes I’m funny. Sometimes I’m serious. Most of the time I’m a nice hybrid that gets 100 miles per gallon. If you enjoy well-written and thought-provoking content, then I’m here for you. If you just want shock writing that lacks depth, I’m not the one for you. Either way, thanks for visiting Three Ways to Take It. We appreciate each and every reader and hope that you become a regular one.
